About Your Director

My name is Jenni Carlson and I am the Pageant Director for the Gurnee Community Pageant. A little over a year ago I decided to run for Miss Gurnee and never thought I would be where I am today. I was fortunate enough to reign as Miss Gurnee 2009 and had so many opportunities during my year as being a queen. Recently, I gave up my crown and became the director of the pageant. I am so excited for the upcoming year and to have three wonderful queens to work with.

In December I graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Business Teacher Education. I am in the process of looking for a full time teaching job. I have lived in Gurnee my whole life and have the most wonderful family as well as 2 dogs, Zoe & Sasha.

I have a passion for dancing and have been doing so since I was 3. I danced for a studio until I was 18 and danced on my high school’s dance team. I have also coached poms/dance before. I recently finished my first year as a professional dancer with the Chicago Cardinals, a brand new indoor football team.

I am so thrilled to be the new pageant director and hope to make this organization the best it can be.
